Description:

Grant writing can be time-consuming and frustrating, but with resilience and a stellar proposal, getting your project funded is possible. This CCI LIVE webcast will cover key ingredients that make a grant proposal stand out. It will provide practical tips alongside issues to consider to maximize your chances of success. The session also will touch on what comes after a grant project – writing a report for the funding agency.

About your Presenter:
Dr. Jennifer Butters owns a consulting firm that primarily works with research scientists and doctors at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada. Jennifer previously served as the Director of Research at the Centre for Urban Health Initiatives at the University of Toronto, where she also taught sociology courses on Crime, Delinquency and Mental Health. Jennifer has worked at Canada’s Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in a variety of research positions, authored numerous publications, and presented at national and international conferences. She was educated at Western University and obtained her Doctorate in Sociology at the University of Toronto where she was the inaugural recipient of the Edie Yolles Award for Dissertation Excellence.
